One of the most famous 307th Bomb Group co-pilots. Robert Altman at the 78th Annual Academy Awards in 2006 |
Author Mitchell Zuckoff is seeking any information including pictures, documents and memories of Robert Altman's time with the 307th BG. The famous Hollywood Director was a co-pilot with the 307th BG in the 371st BS. One of the pilots he flew with was Lt. Dale Dennison. Please email the author and the 307th BG Historian (Pat Ranfranz, pat@307bg.org) if you have any information to share.
From Mitchell Zuckoff: As part of my research for a biography about the director Robert Altman, I'm searching for information about his service in the 307th Bomb Group in 1945. I'm hoping to interview anyone who served with him, and I'm also looking for photographs from his service. I'm a professor at Boston University, and the book is being written under contract for Knopf. Sincerely, Mitchell Zuckoff. (I can be reached at 617-353-5968, or at zuckoff@bu.edu.) Thanks in advance for your help.
